Sewing - Art Bag/Crayon Roll
I've had a crayon roll on my to do list for a while (Christmas). A quick search has given me more ideas...
this one at thelongthread
this felt one at skiptomylou
this stationery wrap from soulemama
and this bag at lovelylittlesweetpeas
After the success of my knitting needle roll I decided to strike whilst the iron was hot... However E (who would be the recipient) has decided she would rather I make a swing set for her Peppa Pig toys and (working) lights for her dolls house...
She's a tough audience.

Sewing - Knitting Needle Roll
Not completely finished yet, but very very very happy with it. Glad I didn't over think the fabric choices (one hour isn't too long is it?).
It is a little bit wonky in places - I maybe should have used a ruler....
I would still like to make a black and white one (my original colour scheme, but I didn't like the fabric choices available), but I'm loving the orange - who knew?
All handsewn using this tutorial by Madebyloulabelle.

Sewing - Knitting Needle Roll
I found this pattern for a knitting needle roll at madebyloulabelle.
I've picked out some fabric and I hope to hand sew my version...
I have made a large knitting needle roll before (using a sewing machine) although I can't remember how I constructed it...
I've been inspired to try some hand sewing by the ladies at my knitting group, some of whom have hand sewn quilts (!?!??!?). Not sure I'm quite ready for that but a wee knitting roll should be ok...
Shouldn't it?

Sea Queen Knitting
Sea Queen day 2010 is Saturday 12th June. Like previous years (here and here) my knitting group is having a stall. So far I have knitted these:-
I still have to finish these...
And I would like to make some pony bead bracelets and some cards and perhaps knit some doughnuts...

Knitting - Shawl
**Ravelry links for patterns**
I am currently thinking (obsessing) about knitting myself a shawl.
I have a large cone of laceweight blue yarn which I could use.
Now, after an exhaustive Ravelry search for a shawl that suits a non shawl wearing novice lace knitter, I have narrowed it down to Azzu's Shawl
However I have now (wisely) decided NOT to make do with my unknown yarn and instead treat myself (birthday in 10 days!) to a hand dyed hank from a UK indie dyer.
I've come across several in research for this venture and I wish I could see these yarns in reality without relying on product description.
I think I have settled on Artist Palette Yarns - Smoothie Sock. A charcoal and dark violet/grey non pooling mix. 75% Superwash Merino 25% Nylon 425m.
But there is Clan from Yarn Yard, shade 1664 or shade 1675. 100% merino, 210m.
or Toddy, shade 1683. 75% merino 25% nylon 420m.
